Accredited Reiki courses in Melbourne are important to find if you want to learn Reiki. Not all Reiki courses are made the same, and deciding whom to learn Reiki from is an important decision!
Australian Reiki Connection
All Reiki courses by Melbourne Reiki and Wellness are accredited and recognised under the Australian Reiki Connection (ARC), Australia’s peak Reiki association. The (ARC) was founded upon the principles and practices of the Usui System of Reiki. This association works really hard to protect Reiki as a stand alone practice. They also ensure all Reiki courses follow the appropriate Reiki lineage stemming directly from Mikao Usui (founder of Reiki).
Reiki lineage
When choosing a Reiki Master to learn Reiki from, it is important to check their lineage and accreditation. Additionally, do some Reiki healings with the Reiki Master first, to see if you resonate with their energy. Every Reiki practitioner in Melbourne will work a little differently, so do your research first. See if what they are offering fits with what you want.
Reiki additions
Some Reiki courses will include additions that are not part of the traditional system of Reiki. That is ok, as long as those additions are clearly identified as not being part of the Usui System of Reiki. The Reiki Master also still needs to provide a full Reiki 1 course that is aligned with their Reiki lineage.
Accredited Reiki Courses
Additionally, Reiki courses need to be taught in person to be accepted by the ARC. The Australian Reiki Connection does not accept Reiki courses taught online, which I also personally prescribe to. Reiki originally is a hands-on form of healing. If you are planning on offering hands on healing professionally, you will need to learn in person how to offer these Reiki treatments. Reiki is a form of energy healing that was originally taught through a lineage system, with information passed from Reiki Master to Reiki student. To honour this system, Reiki healing courses are taught in person, just like they were from Mikau Usui to his students.
Reiki courses at Melbourne Reiki and Wellness
At Melbourne Reiki and Wellness, we offer Reiki courses in Melbourne that are open to anyone and everyone. We offer Reiki Level 1 ‘Shoden’, Reiki Level 2 ‘Okuden’, Reiki Level 3a ‘Reiki Master Practitioner’, and Reiki Mastership ‘Reiki Master Teacher’ or ‘Shinpiden’. Each level gives you a deeper connection to Reiki. You will learn different methods of meditation and self-Reiki practice, and be attuned to Reiki energy through Reiki attunements. You will also receive Reiju, a Reiki spiritual blessing. At the completion of each course, you will receive a Reiki certificate, confirming the date you have completed the Reiki course.
Reiki Shares
We also offer other workshops, as well as Reiki Shares. Reiki Shares are a great opportunity for you to reconnect with other Reiki healers, practice Reiki on each other, and ask questions. You will also be guided in meditation at the start and end of each Reiki Share.
