There are many reasons to do a Reiki course, one major reason being to learn Reiki for your self! Once you have completed Reiki Level 1, you will be attuned to Reiki energy. You will learn not only how to practice Reiki on others, but most importantly how to practice Reiki on your self. And that is both so empowering and healing!
Reiki can be learnt by anyone
Reiki is a Japanese energy healing modality, and is pure magic in its simplicity. Mikau Usui (the founder of Reiki) specifically developed this practice of Reiki so that it is accessible to anyone and everyone. You don’t have to have any special talents or previous experience. However Reiki is most definitely a spiritual practice, so coming to Reiki with an open heart and mind is helpful. Find out more about first steps to become a Reiki healer here.
Practicing Reiki is a gift
Practicing Reiki on others is a true gift, and not to be taken lightly. When learning Reiki in Reiki Level 1, you will be attuned to Reiki energy. A Reiki Level 1 attunement is a special ritual, whereby the Reiki Master will attune the Reiki student to Reiki energy. After a student is attuned to Reiki energy, they are able to practice Reiki on both others, and themselves.
Learn Reiki for your self
Although practicing Reiki on others is an honour and a blessing, the most empowering part of learning Reiki is to be able to practice Reiki on your self! To be able to send healing energy back to yourself anytime you like is truly special. After completing Reiki Level 1, most Reiki Masters will assist you in the following weeks as your body rebalances. This is an important time to keep up your self-Reiki practice, to assist your body to align.
Reiki Level 1 with Melbourne Reiki and Wellness
After a student completes Reiki Level 1 with Melbourne Reiki and Wellness, students will receive a 21 day e-course to support their self-Reiki practice. This is the perfect opportunity to start developing your self-Reiki practice, and get into a habit of doing this on a regular basis.
My personal Reiki practice
Personally, I practice self-Reiki daily. Mostly in the morning, but also sometimes at night, and often during the day as well! You can practice self-Reiki anywhere, at anytime, although preferably not when driving! Reiki relaxes you, calms your mind and body, and is a beautiful way to find your centre again. However some people fall asleep while practicing Reiki, and whilst this can be very helpful before bed, it can be dangerous if driving or operating machinery!
