Life as a Reiki healer is pretty amazing! There are so many benefits and incredible opportunities as a professional Reiki practitioner. And the best thing about it? Once you have completed both Reiki Level 1 and Reiki Level 2, you can start practicing Reiki professionally straight away.
Reiki Level 2 ‘Okuden’
Completing the Reiki Level 2 Course allows you to start practicing Reiki professionally. Reiki Level 2 is usually a weekend course, run over 2 days. In Reiki 2 ‘Okuden’ you will deepen your connection to Reiki, receive the Reiki Level 2 attunement, and learn sacred symbols to use while giving a Reiki treatment. You will also learn different methods for giving a Reiki healing, meditations, and guidelines for Reiki healing in professional practice. After Reiki 2, you can then start charging clients for your Reiki healings.
Check your industry requirements
Of course, like any self-employed person, you must always double check any additional requirements you might need for your particular industry and job. As a professional Reiki healer, you will need to make sure you have your CPR and first aid certificates up to date. You will also need insurance, and an ABN number. In addition, as a Reiki healer, you will be classified as an ‘unregulated health care worker’, which means you must also follow the national code of conduct. All these details are covered in Reiki Level 2 at Melbourne Reiki and Wellness. Once you complete this course, you will know exactly what to do and where to go, to make sure you are doing all the right things.
Benefits of being a Reiki healer!
There are so many benefits of becoming a professional Reiki healer! As a self-employed Reiki professional, you can set your own hours, and be as flexible as you need. You can build your business around your chosen lifestyle. If you decide to work for someone, benefits include working alongside other like-minded people, learning from others, and being a part of a business that is bigger than just yourself.
My personal experience
For me personally, when I first started out, I began practicing Reiki part time while I was still teaching yoga. I would teach yoga classes in the mornings, and Reiki in the afternoons, evenings and weekends. I continued to build up my Reiki clientele, whilst slowly cutting back on my yoga classes. It didn’t take long before I was practicing Reiki full time, and just teaching a few classes here and there.
Change is inevitable
Businesses constantly evolve and change, and of course over the last two years we have all been managing our way through the pandemic. There are always going to be challenges that we all face, but with Reiki, things are just that little bit more manageable!
