Our Reiki classes in Melbourne are approved by the Australian Reiki Connection. In addition, Casey (your Reiki Master) is fully qualified, with direct lineage to Mikau Usui (found of Reiki). You can find Casey’s list of qualifications here . Once you have completed each Reiki level, you will receive your Reiki certification at the end of the course.
At Melbourne Reiki & Wellness, you are welcome to attend a higher Reiki Level even if you have completed Reiki Level 1 with someone else. However, you will need to show your Reiki certification upon booking, and ensure that your previous Reiki Course was conducted In-Person (not online) and by an approved Reiki Master. If you have any questions about this, please don’t hesitate to contact us here .
A Reiki attunement is the process in which a Reiki Master initiates a student to Reiki energy and the practice of Reiki.
The practice of Reiki is passed down from teacher to student following a lineage system.
During a Reiki attunement the student’s innate healing capacity is awakened and they become tuned into Reiki energy.
Having a Reiki attunement is one of the 5 pillars of Reiki, and is vital to be able to practice Reiki, both personally and professionally.
Reiki was founded by Mikau Usui, a Japanese Buddhist around 1922. He originally developed Reiki to help naval officers and lay people heal, but as Reiki became more popular, he started teaching students to enable the practice of Reiki to continue. Later, Reiki was brought to the west by Hawayo Takata, an American born Japanese woman. She trained several students in the system of Reiki, and although much of Reiki has since been ‘westernised’ and changed in various ways, my lineage (and yours too, if you study with me) can be traced directly back to Mikao Usui, original founder of Reiki.
Reiki in Melbourne is now gaining more awareness and popularity, and there are an abundance of opportunities for new Reiki practitioners in Melbourne to establish a solid client base and build their practice.
