Reiki Level 2 is the next step in your Reiki journey after you have completed Reiki Level 1. Once you have completed Reiki Level 1, you are able to practice Reiki on yourself, as well as your friends and family, free of charge. However, after you have completed the Reiki Level 2 course, you are then able to practice Reiki professionally and charge for your services.
What will I learn in Reiki Level 2?
In Reiki Level 2 “Okuden” at Melbourne Reiki and Wellness, you will learn meditations and self-practice techniques to help deepen your connection to Reiki. You will learn 3 sacred symbols to use when you practice Reiki, as well as receive Reiki Level 2 attunements. You will also learn how to scan and treat others intuitively, as well as learn how to send Reiki distantly. Throughout the course, you will both give and receive two full Reiki healings, allowing you to practice these techniques. You will also learn Reiki self-care practices.
What will I receive in Reiki Level 2 at Melbourne Reiki and Wellness?
All Reiki courses at Melbourne Reiki and Wellness come with an extensive Reiki manual to take home. In Reiki Level 2, you will receive Reiki attunements (attuning you to the symbols and Reiki energy), and receive Reiki healings throughout the day. Complimentary tea and fruit are offered throughout the day to keep your energy lifted. At the end of the Reiki Course, you will receive a Reiki Level 2 certificate of completion.
Prerequisites for Reiki Level 2
You must have completed Reiki Level 1, before enrolling and completing Reiki Level 2. Under the Australian Reiki Connection guidelines, there needs to be at least 3 months in between Reiki Level 1 and Reiki Level 2, in order to give you a chance to rebalance, and practice all that you learnt in Reiki Level 1.
Continuing your Reiki practice after Reiki 2
Once you have completed any Reiki Courses run by Melbourne Reiki and Wellness (MRW), you will be added to the special ‘Reiki Healers Newsletter’ that is emailed out on a monthly basis. This newsletter shares insights, blogs, videos, and Reiki healing opportunities to all new Reiki Healers with MRW. In addition, all Reiki Healers are invited to attend Reiki Share events, which give you the opportunity to give and receive Reiki, and practice Reiki on others. During Reiki Shares, there will be guided meditations, and a chance to ask any questions you might have.
What should I bring to the Course?
You will need to bring a water bottle, pillow and blanket, and a pen and paper to the course. You might also like to bring your lunch, or alternatively there are cafes nearby to buy food. It is also advisable to wear comfortable clothing and warm socks to all Reiki Courses.
What happens after Reiki Level 2?
Once you have completed Reiki Level 2, you can then practice Reiki professionally. You might choose to simply just offer Reiki to your friends and family, or practice Reiki on yourself, and that’s perfectly fine. Many people complete their Reiki Level 2, in order to deepen their connection to Reiki and get back into the rhythm of self-Reiki practice. Others might like to search for employment as a Reiki Healer, or begin to offer Reiki professionally to clients. Whether you work for a clinic, rent a room, or practice from home, there are many options available.
Reiki Mentoring
If you are wanting to start practicing Reiki professionally, I offer Reiki Mentoring for Reiki Healers. These are 60 minute coaching sessions, in which you can ask questions, gain advice, and be mentored on starting up your own professional Reiki practice. Please note there is no Reiki given in these sessions, but rather an opportunity for professional mentoring.
